How to Add Captions on Facebook Using a .SRT file.
Captions are really important because over 80% of the people watching your video will do it without the sound.
You can edit them with the Facebook caption tool but it tends to be glitchy. Using Rev allows you to get a .SRT file that you can easily add to your video on Facebook, or an a video ad through ads manager on Instagram.
Make sure that the file ends with .en_US.SRT for facebook to accept it. If you file comes only with “.SRT ” after the name than simply rename it with the proper ending.
