Tip #9 Collect photos
You should always be looking for great content, either it’s going to be someone else’s content/photo or your very own. (Your own is best) Setting yourself up to be the expert in your industry is as simple as publishing content that speaks the industry language. Watch the marketing and adverting that other businesses are doing and see if you could repurpose any of it for your business.
To keep yourself organized may we suggest putting a folder on your desktop computer and your smartphone and call it CONTENT.
Every time you have a photo opportunity take the shot! The world around you is your content.
Photo Ideas and Opportunities
Think about the people you work with such as a mortgage broker or a Lawyer, ask them for a coffee or lunch and shoot a few photos when you’re out. Make sure you include your favourite restaurant or coffee house.
Ideas of what to Shoot
• The Changing Seasons, our cities are so pretty in the fall, autumn and summer… Run a photo contest
• Parks / Dog Parks / Swimming pools!
• Coffee shops
• Schools
• Clients • Homes / real estate tours
Think about how you could cross promote your business with other businesses, make sure you tag their business page name in your posts. Think of photos that will create positive engagement or feedback instantly on your social media .
Ask people questions in your post that are linked somehow to the photos you are using. Take more photos throughout your day and put them into your folders, Create many different folders within that folder.
Pretty soon you’ll just do it automatically. One last tip(s) – Have a box of lens cleaners on hand to make sure your lens is always photo ready. Turn on your Camera Grid to help give the dimension and line up your photos.
