David has an incredible talent for marketing his business in a way that stands out from the real estate crowd, he also has an eye for unique marketing with a flair for perfection.
David believes anything you can do NOW do NOW, and thus he began to create his personality for his brand before he actually became licensed as a real estate agent. David had a brilliant vision and set out to make it come alive.
Whistler is a very small personal market for selling real estate in, you actually get a lot of Facetime with your potential customers, especially while they’re in the decision phase of buying or selling their property.
Over and beyond introducing people to the lifestyle of Whistler you need to attract the clientele in other ways, such as giving up your weekends and hosting open houses and of course entertaining your clients when you can.
You’ll also be making hundreds of warm calls, as it’s affectionately called when you know the person you are calling or you have some type of a connection with them, these calls are to let everyone know you’re now in business… the real estate business.
Then it came down to David implementing his social media marketing plan in order to get his Face out into the marketplace. Subliminal permission-based marketing. David created a well detailed Facebook presence and specific targeted campaigns, he then created an Instagram account to showcase the lifestyle of Whistler. Because David was very comfortable in the video sphere he filmed a number of Youtube videos to tease his launch. It’s only fair to mention that David owns his own video company called Matador Creative Studio, which is a Canadian production company specializing in really awesome animated videos that help brands explain their message.
David wanted to stand out from the crowd of agents in the Whistler market, he said it could be very challenging to do this in such a small city, however, he understood that most real estate ads were coming across as fact-based.
David focused on the lifestyle of Whistler and went about to showcase this aspect of real estate in his marketing, and relentlessly pursued his goals.

David is extremely passionate about living in Whistler and is very involved with all aspects of the community, he truly believes this is the secret ingredient to a successful career. David is helping his clients achieve the goal of living the dream in Whistler.
One tip to agents starting out…, find a way to differentiate yourself from others. Relentlessly work every day, there is no shortcut. Make sure your marketing doesn’t look like everyone else’s.
